Where Is Legal Scale Located?

Legal Scale offers the opportunity to work fully remotely, providing video conferencing tools, email and messaging platforms to our team to enable everyone to stay connected. We provide you the tools to succeed while also retaining the flexibility you deserve.

Legal Scale is currently based in New York City, but is open to having associates work from any location. We view our focus on working remotely as a competitive advantage over traditional law firms that often insist on “facetime”.

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who want to take more ownership of their work, their time and their client base.

Qualifications include:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Must be admitted to the New York Bar; Admission to the Delaware Bar is a plus, but not required
• 3+ years of experience working on private debt or private equity transactions, debt financings, structured equity investments, early and late stage private equity investments and secondary transactions, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters
• Excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills
• Strong business acumen
• Self-motivated with an ownership mentality over client relationships

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation will be structured based on experience and class year, and will be similar to the latest market standard for attorneys based out of New York City. We always seek an alignment of interests with our team – we pay our team members monthly bonuses for leading deals, finding new clients and closing transactions. Legal Scale also offers comprehensive benefits for health insurance reimbursements, 401k contributions and match and tech budgets for eligible employees.
